Diagnose, then plan
We start with a baseline test across Maths, English, Verbal and Non-Verbal Reasoning. That tells us which question types need the most work, and your child's plan is built around closing those gaps before exam day.
Every question type in the paper
Both papers mix English comprehension, verbal reasoning, maths and non-verbal reasoning, so sessions work through all four in rotation using our own sample tests and past papers. No question style comes as a surprise on the day, and techniques for speed and accuracy are taught alongside the content itself.
Mocks under real conditions
Regular timed mock exams at our centre build the stamina and composure the real 11+ demands. Detailed feedback after every mock shows exactly what to practise next, turning nerves into familiarity.

11+ Preparation — your questions answered
How much does 11+ tuition cost in West Bromwich?
Group tuition is £80 per month for three hours a week at weekends. Siblings enrolled together receive 30% off. There are no contracts and no registration fee, and one-to-one sessions are available on request.
Which 11+ exam do you prepare for?
The West Midlands Grammar Schools Entrance Test, which is the shared exam used by the selective schools across Birmingham, Sandwell, Walsall and Wolverhampton. It is set by GL Assessment and consists of two multiple-choice papers of roughly 50 minutes each. Each paper mixes English comprehension, verbal reasoning, maths and non-verbal reasoning, so children have to switch between all four under time pressure.
What year should my child start 11+ preparation?
Most children start in Year 4 or Year 5, which allows time to build the content knowledge and exam technique the 11+ demands. We also take Year 6 students who need focused preparation closer to the exam.
Do you run mock exams?
Yes. Students sit regular timed mock papers at our centre under real exam conditions, and receive detailed feedback after each one showing exactly what to practise next.
When do sessions run?
Sessions run at weekends for three hours a week at our centre on Lodge Road, West Bromwich, B70 8NX. All tuition is in person.
