What subjects do you teach?

At GCSE we tutor Maths, English Language, English Literature, Biology, Chemistry, Physics and RE, covering both AQA and OCR specifications. At A Level we offer Maths, English and Science. If your subject is not listed, contact us and we will do our best to help. We also run 11+ preparation for the West Midlands Grammar Schools Entrance Test, and KS1 & KS2 support.

Are sessions suitable for adults as well as children?

Absolutely. Many of our students are adults returning to education to resit GCSE Maths or English, or preparing for A Level qualifications. Our tutors are experienced with both younger learners and adult students.

Question 3

How does the Pass Guarantee work?

Accepted Answer

Students on our Pass Guarantee scheme sit an assessment on entry to establish a baseline grade. Provided they attend the required minimum number of sessions, which is agreed with you when you enrol, they are guaranteed to finish at least two grades above that baseline. If they do not, we continue tutoring them free of charge until they do.

Can I sit a GCSE at home or online?

No. GCSEs and A Levels have to be sat in person, under exam conditions, at a centre registered with the exam board. Teaching can be online; the examination cannot. You attend a centre, and we are one, on Lodge Road in West Bromwich.

Question 5

Can I sit exams with you if I am not one of your students?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We enter private and external candidates for GCSE and A Level whether or not we teach them, including home-educated students and adults who have prepared on their own.

What is the group size?

We run focused weekend group sessions that keep lessons structured and productive while giving tutors the ability to check in with every student. One-to-one tuition is also available on request for students who need dedicated individual support.

Question 7

What exam boards do you cover for 11+?

Accepted Answer

We prepare students for the West Midlands Grammar Schools Entrance Test, the shared 11+ exam used by the selective schools across Birmingham, Sandwell, Walsall and Wolverhampton. It is set by GL Assessment and consists of two multiple-choice papers of about 50 minutes each, and every paper mixes English comprehension, verbal reasoning, maths and non-verbal reasoning.
